Group Procurement Manager

You will lead a team of procurement professionals, drive supplier performance, and ensure that our supply chain operations align with business objectives, cost efficiencies, and regulatory requirements. Skills & Experience * Extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within utilities, engineering, or construction. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration and performance. * Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation abilities. * Experience with civils, utilities, and/or M&E supply chains. * Strategic mindset with strong analytical capabilities to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. * Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management. * Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field (Master’s degree or CIPS certification desirable). * Deep understanding of procurement best practices, regulatory compliance, and industry trends. * Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and processes that align with business objectives and industry best practices. * Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of procurement professionals, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring procurement strategies support broader business needs. * Oversee supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, and relationship management to drive cost savings and quality improvements. * Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify areas for strategic procurement enhancements. * Lead initiatives such as supplier consolidation and vendor rationalisation to achieve economies of scale. * Develop and manage procurement budgets, tracking expenditure and cost-saving measures to support financial objectives. * Leverage procurement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and data analytics capabilities. * Collaborate with finance, operations, and legal teams to integrate procurement activities into overall business processes. * Establish and oversee supplier performance management programmes, driving continuous improvement and compliance.
