Production Operative – Packer

Job Title: Logistics Operative Location: Denham, Middlesex Salary: £26k per year Working hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-12:00. Job Summary A fantastic opportunity to join a leading engineering firm within the aerospace industry, dedicated to saving lives worldwide. As a Logistics Operative in the Packing Department, you will play a key role in preparing, packing, and labelling products and components for internal transport and dispatch to customers and suppliers. Key Responsibilities * Primary and final packing of parts, components, and products according to customer and technical requirements. * Validating batch numbers, part descriptions, and quantities against the SAP system, reporting discrepancies. * Ensuring appropriate packing materials, clear labelling, and accurate delivery instructions. * Coordinating with the Logistics team and Shipping Clerk for timely dispatch. * Conducting self-inspection and quality checks. * Performing multi-skilled duties in Detail Stores, Raw Material Stores, and Internal Transport. * Accurately picking, packing, and issuing materials and stock. * Receiving and processing goods from external sources. * Internal transportation using forklifts, electric pallet stackers, and scissor lift equipment. * Undertaking raw material store duties such as saw operation. Skills & Experience Required * Experience in stores and packing within a manufacturing or warehouse environment. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. * Structured, methodical approach with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
