Our client, a leading water sector specialist are looking for an EICA Site Manager based commutable to Harrogate.
This role is working within the water sector, covering projects across multiple frameworks, water sector experience is preferred.
This is a permanent role, candidates must be commutable to Harrogate and prepared to travel/stay away as part of the role.
Job Outline
Leading and managing on-site teams, including subcontractors and labourers, to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with schedule and budget.
Providing expert technical guidance and oversight for EICA (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) engineering tasks.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conducting inspections and quality checks to ensure all works adhere to industry standards and regulations, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Carrying out pre-start preparations such as Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), contract reviews, and project program setup.
Coordinating plant, equipment, and resource requirements in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Demonstrating a thorough understanding of key contract terms and ensuring adherence to them.
Overseeing daily site operations and completing all required documentation, including toolbox talks, safety briefings, LOLER, PUWER, and other compliance records.
Ensuring that all assigned tasks are delivered on time and within budget.
Conducting final inspections, testing, and sign-off of completed works.
Maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders to identify and manage early warnings.
Promoting a culture of safety by clearly communicating and enforcing health and safety standards and upholding a commitment to quality across all site activities.
Candidate
Proven site management experience in the water and utilities sector
CSCS Managers Card (Level 6+), SMSTS, EUSR Blue Card
18th Edition, ECS Gold Card, City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection
Full UK driving licence
Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations, particularly the Principal Contractor role
Proficient in NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
IOSH or NEBOSH certification (obtained or in progress)
Competent in Microsoft Office applications
Strong customer service focus
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills
