SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a well-regarded, two-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Islington , seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Early Years Teaching Assistant . This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about early childhood education , who thrives in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment .

• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) , with a primary focus on Reception .
• Providing tailored interventions and one-to-one or small group support , ensuring all children can access learning effectively.
• Encouraging language development, social interaction, and emotional regulation through structured play and learning activities.
• Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and support strategies.
• Supporting children in developing their fine and gross motor skills , promoting independence and self-care.
• Assisting with personal care duties , including nappy changing and toileting support , when required.
• Creating a stimulating, inclusive, and engaging learning environment , in line with the EYFS curriculum and best practices .

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school or early years setting .
• A strong understanding of child development, early years education, and the EYFS curriculum .
• Confidence in adapting learning activities to suit individual needs, fostering progress in communication, social skills, and cognitive development .
• Ability to build positive relationships with young children, providing a nurturing and supportive presence in the classroom.
• Willingness to assist with personal care needs , ensuring the comfort and dignity of the children in their care.
• A team-oriented approach , working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to deliver the best outcomes for pupils.
