Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to work on the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project in Peterhead . This landmark project will unlock Scotland s vast renewable energy capacity and significantly enhance the UK s ability to deliver clean energy to around two million homes. Your expertise will play a crucial role in the success of this venture, and they are keen to welcome an experienced professional to their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the commercial management of a major power sector project, ensuring financial performance and compliance.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise profitability and minimise risk.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quantity surveyors and other commercial professionals.
• Manage contract negotiations, procurement processes, and supplier relationships.
• Provide strategic advice on contractual matters, dispute resolution, and risk management.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a Commercial Manager in the construction or power sector.
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and commercial management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
