School Cook

Verve People are hiring a team of School Cooks for the Wirral and Chester area. This shifts will be temporary/ad-hoc for the needs of our clients, so locations and days will vary.

These roles will be ideal for someone who has worked in a school environment before, and looking for flexible working.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook fresh, healthy meals in line with school meal guidelines.
Plan and adapt menus to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Work closely with kitchen assistants and school staff to ensure smooth meal service.
Adhere to all food safety regulations, including temperature checks and allergen controls.

Requirements:
Previous experience in a school kitchen environment
An Enhanced DBS (either on the Update Service or dated within the last 12 months)
Knowledge of dietary requirement, allergens and portion control
