Senior Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the
purchase ledger
, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
Perform
bank reconciliations
to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
Oversee and manage
payment runs
, ensuring suppliers are paid on time.
Take responsibility for
pre-payments and accruals
, ensuring accurate month-end reporting.
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
Oversee and support junior members of the finance team, offering guidance and ensuring best practices are maintained.
Collaborate closely with the
senior management team
, providing insights and financial updates as required.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess:
Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of
purchase ledger
,
bank reconciliations
,
payment runs
,
pre-payments
, and
accruals
.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Previous experience overseeing team members or providing mentorship.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive attitude with a desire to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
