Optical Assistant

An independent Opticians based in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, are looking for a full or part time Optical Assistant to join the team. This is a modern, patient focused practice which has an outstanding reputation in the area for high quality eyecare and eyewear.

Optical Assistant - Role

• Modern, high end independent
• Working between two practices which are 15 miles apart
• Amazing 5 patient reviews based in quality of service
• Wide range of frames to suit all budgets - Cutler and Gross, SALT, Silhouette, Ted Baker
• Assisting with dispensing to all levels
• Reception and administrative duties
• Meeting and greeting patients
• Measurements and adjustments
• Frame repairs
• Maintain appearance of store
• Working 3, 4 or 5 days a week including most Saturday
• 9am to 5.30pm
• Base salary around 25,500 plus bonus
• Regular training and development opportunities

Optical Assistant - Requirements

• Previous experience of working as an Optical Assistant
• Passionate about the industry
• Must be calm, comfortable and confident at all times when talking to patients
• Maintain the high level of customer care this practice has created
• Excellent communication
• Driving licence and own car would be useful
