Job Title: Yard Operative

Location: Lydd, Kent (must drive and have own transport)

Salary: 24,000 - 28,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm

Our client is a trusted provider of supplying high-quality materials to the construction industry.

Job Role:

You will be responsible for ensuring materials in the yard are organised, accessible, and secure. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organisational skills to handle the daily logistics of receiving, storing and distributing goods.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

• Receive deliveries of goods and supplies.
• Check goods for damaged or missing items.
• General maintenance of equipment, including painting industrial machinery.
• Ensure the safe storage of goods.
• Move stock around the yard by hand or use of the forklift.
• Pack and palletise orders ready for delivery.
• Load and unload lorries.
• Maintain records of stock.
• Complete relevant paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and tidy yard.

Experience and skills required for this position:

• You MUST drive and have your own transport due to location.
• You will ideally have experience of driving a forklift.
• Previous experience within warehouse or yard operations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Physical stamina for handling heavy and large materials and equipment.
• The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
