Finance Specialist

We are seeking a Finance Specialist for a 12-month contract based in Derby (Hybrid) on behalf of our globally respected client, known for developing cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe, and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Purpose of the role:

As a Finance Specialist, you will provide financial support to the Manufacturing Executive of Large Engines and leadership teams, ensuring aligned financial strategy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Maintain financial governance, controls, and strategic insight to drive business performance and maximize working capital.

As a Finance Specialist, you be responsible for:

• Providing financial insight, challenge, and support to the Large Engines leadership team to drive strong business performance.
• Leading cost engagement initiatives, ensuring P&L visibility, and identifying risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
• Translating strategy into financial plans, coordinating forecasts, and ensuring adherence to financial targets across plants.
• Ensuring financial controls, governance, and compliance standards are met while maintaining accurate financial insights.
• Partnering with leadership teams to enhance financial acumen and foster a cost-conscious culture across the organisation.
• Supporting capital investment decisions by evaluating business cases, ensuring sound financial planning, and maintaining governance compliance.
