Collections Specialist

We are looking for a Collections Specialist for a 12-month contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Purpose of the role:

As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the cash collection process, maintaining customer relationships, resolving disputes, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping to support the business's financial health.

As a Collections Specialist you will be responsible for:

Managing the cash collection process, maintaining customer relationships, resolving disputes, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping to support the business's financial health.
Communicating with customers to confirm invoice receipt and resolve payment disputes.
Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and payment commitments in the ERP system.
Collaborating with internal teams, including Commercial, Aftermarket, and Logistics, to facilitate issue resolution.
Supporting debt management meetings and contributing to process improvements.

What we require from the candidate:

Credit Management experience.
Proven ERP Accounts Receivable system experience.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility and adaptability to an ever-changing environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with internal & external customers.
Good numerical skills.
Proven team player with a customer-focused attitude.
Good level of IT literacy, particularly Excel.
A process improvement mindset.
