Management Accountant


Management Accountant - Leeds - 35,000 to 40,000 - Hybrid with study support.

Axon Moore are delighted to be working in collaboration with a high growth professional services company as they look to recruit for a commercially strong and technically adept Management Accountant to join their team.

Confidence and excellent communication skills are essential as you will work closely with senior management delivering ad-hoc analysis in a business partnering capacity. A solid accounting background is required as are strong analytical skills in order to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall business performance.

THE JOB:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Accruals, prepayments and P & L analysis
  • Report on variances
  • Review all balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations.
  • Manage intercompany recharges and balances.
  • Preparation of the monthly finance pack, providing insightful commentary for internal stakeholders
  • Leading month end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
  • Business partnering with internal stakeholders, attending regular meetings to review budgets, variances and guidance.
  • Supporting and leading on any systems and process improvements
  • Assist with group reporting.
  • Support the Financial Controller and CFO with ad hoc projects.
  • Support year end Audit and VAT reporting.


EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS /SKILLS:

  • Part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA, ACA)
  • Experience within Management Accountants
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong technical, analytic, and reporting skills
  • Excellent IT skills (advanced knowledge of Excel essential)
  • Accurate and attention to detail
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Technically strong
  • Inquisitive and a finisher


SALARY AND BENEFITS:
