CAD Design Engineer

CAD Design Engineer/Draughtsperson Dublin Would you like to join a company who is on an exciting journey in the rail sector, based in Dublin. As CAD Engineer/Technical Assistant you will contribute to the Technical and Projects Teams to provide engineering solutions to technical issues focussing on Mechanical & structures within the fleet of Rolling Stock. You will investigate technical issues report to the team and lead the mechanical/structures section of the drawing/design office. Involved in design of engineering modifications for rolling stock, whilst conducting risk assessments to evaluate the potential risks associated with modifications made. Producing engineering drawings using the CAD System and where appropriate, prototype assemblies using the 3D printer. You will have: An Engineering Qualification, minimum of Trade Level You ll have working knowledge of the strength characteristics of materials. A good technical Ability and Fault Finding experience You will be able to understand engineering drawings and conventions. Experience using CAD (Computer Aided Design), including 3D modelling. Have the ability to Lead a Team. Be Able to mentor and guide junior members of the team. Ideally you will have experience in mechanical & structural systems of rail vehicles however similar experience in Heavy goods vehicles or similar would be considered The offer salary circa €48,536 - €68,845, plus annual pay increase, excellent pension scheme, remote working policy, reduced fares on rail network, access to further training and education and long term career prospects. The role is offered as an initial 12 month fixed term contract with a view to being made permanent after that period
