An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Architectural Technologist to join an esteemed, award-winning RIBA Chartered architectural practice. Located in a beautiful semi-rural setting on the outskirts of North Leeds, this established medium-sized practice is renowned for its high-quality design work throughout the North of England, particularly in the areas of sensitive housing projects, luxury private residences, and bespoke high-end renovations and restorations.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Senior Architectural Technologist with a passion for good design to join our dynamic and friendly team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of high-end residential projects across Yorkshire and the North East of England. Many of our current projects are bespoke contemporary new builds, with some valued at several million pounds.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate on a range of residential projects, working across all RIBA work stages from design development through to completion.
Take a hands-on approach to project delivery, ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards of design and technical excellence.
Work within a team on large-scale projects and independently on smaller contracts.
Prepare and present design proposals to clients, ensuring clear and effective communication at all stages of the project.
Provide strong technical expertise, including detailed knowledge of UK Building Regulations, job running skills, and site experience.
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in technical drawings and specifications.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience at a senior level within an architectural practice, with a focus on high-end residential design.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential). Familiarity with SketchUp is desirable.
In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in managing projects through all stages, with an emphasis on quality control and strict QA procedures.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience, ranging from 38,000 to 45,000.
Benefits include workplace pension, 25 days annual leave, flexible working hours, and the option to work from home one day per week.
