Job Title: Senior Support Worker or Deputy Manager Residential Childcare
Location: LE2, Leicester
Salary: GBP24k-GBP30k (DOE) + GBP50 per sleep-in (for Senior Support Worker)
Salary: GBP29,120 per annum + GBP50 per sleep-in (for Deputy Manager)

We are seeking either a Senior Support Worker or a Deputy Manager for a residential childcare setting in Leicester . Key Responsibilities:

• For Senior Support Workers : Provide day-to-day care for young residents, including supporting them in activities, education, and statutory meetings.
• For Deputy Manager : Assist the Manager in overseeing the operations of the residential setting and provide leadership to a team of care staff.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of young people at all times.
• Participate in household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and general upkeep of the home.
• For Deputy Manager : Ensure compliance with all regulations and support staff development through training and supervision.

Person Specification:

• Proficient in written and spoken English for record-keeping and report writing.
• Experience working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviours.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to plan and coordinate activities.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
• For Senior Support Workers : Experience working in a similar environment with young people.
• For Deputy Managers : Previous experience in a residential childcare setting and leadership skills.

Essential Requirements for both:

• NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Full UK Manual Driving License
