We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Female P.E. Teacher to join a vibrant Secondary school in Stevenage. This is a full-time, temporary position, starting after the Easter break and continuing until at least May half term, with the possibility of extension depending on the needs of the school.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement section under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
Responsibilities as a P.E Teacher:
• Deliver engaging and effective P.E. lessons to students of all abilities across key stages.
• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards health and well-being.
• Support the development of students' physical skills and contribute to their personal development.
• Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum and school guidelines.
• Provide opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular sports activities.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, encouraging participation and achievement.
Requirements:
• Has a passion for physical education and a strong commitment to inspiring students.
• Holds a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) and experience teaching P.E.
• Demonstrates excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Has the ability to engage and motivate students, encouraging them to achieve their personal best.
• An enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one.
