Maintenance Person

We re hiring for a Maintenance Person to join a growing team working across council properties and commercial buildings in Buxton and the surrounding areas.

This role offers a great mix of carpentry, general repairs, and multi-skilled maintenance work perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving and variety in their day-to-day tasks.

What s on offer?

• GBP31,415 per year
• Monday Friday 8:30am 5:00pm (37-hour week)
• Company van provided
• 28 days holiday
• Pension scheme

What will you be doing as a Maintenance Person?

• Carrying out 1st and 2nd fix joinery, including fitting kitchens, doors, skirting, and architraves
• Completing general repairs such as tiling, patch plastering, basic plumbing, and UPVC door maintenance
• Supporting reactive maintenance tasks, working within occupied and void properties
• Liaising with the scheduling team to organise workloads efficiently
• Ensuring all work meets health and safety regulations
• Supervising apprentices and providing guidance when required

What do you need?

• NVQ / City & Guilds in Carpentry or Joinery
• Experience in general maintenance, including plumbing & plastering
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different tasks
