We re looking for a CNC Programmer to join a global leader in bespoke manufacturing at their site based in Hayfield .

In this role you will be performing quality checks, reading engineering drawings, selecting tools, and reporting machine faults.

• GBP16.00 - GBP19.00 per hour
• Monday Thursday 7:00am 4:00pm
• Early finish on Fridays
• Overtime available (paid at an enhanced rate)
• 32 days holiday

What will you be doing as a CNC Programmer?

• Setting and operating a range of CNC machines, including multi-axis and sliding head (possibly programming experience dependant)
• Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards
• Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
• Performing "Start of Work" machine inspections before the start of each shift
• Reporting any machine faults or unusual occurrences through approved Maintenance Reporting Procedures
• Reading and comprehending engineering drawings to ensure machined parts conform to drawing and planning specifications
• Selecting suitable tools, equipment, and materials for machining preparation

What do you need?

• CNC machining experience
• Experience in programming both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines (heidenhain or hurco)
• Familiarity with use of Fanuc (desirable)
• A recognised engineering qualification or time served as an apprentice (desirable)
