Langfields Dunfermline has a vacancy for a new Stores Person who will be responsible for the receipt of materials and consumables, the organisation or current stock and the issuing of this stock/materials to the workshop.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Stores Person is responsible such as, but not limited to:-

• Establishing a good working relationship with managers, supervisors, QC personnel, support staff and colleagues to ensure the efficient performance of assigned tasks.
• Receipt and control of contract materials in accordance with Langfields QMS procedures.
• Purchase and control of consumable items in accordance with Langfields policies, including welding consumables and gases.
• Maintaining stock control and stock material register.
• Maintenance of forklift trucks.
• Pass all goods received documents to the Accounts Office.
• Ensure incoming goods are received on time
• Liaise with Engineering/Work Manager on stock levels (Consumables & Welding/Cutting Gases)
• Good housekeeping both in store and materials stockyard
• Any other duty which, from time to time, may reasonably be required to meet the needs of Langfields and is within the remit of this post.

Hours of work for this position will follow the normal facility work schedule, however there could be occasions where this would change if (for example) a project requires the running of nightshifts.
