About the Role: You'll be an essential part of a close-knit, high-performing team where your skills will be valued and developed. During the probation period, the role is fully office-based to ensure you receive the best support, training and integration into our team. After successfully completing probation , you can choose between a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 from home) or staying fully office-based - whichever suits you best - along with flexible start and finish times , giving you greater control over your working day.
We're looking for a proactive, detail-driven individual who takes pride in their work, thrives on responsibility and is passionate about contributing to a culture of excellence.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and manage invoices, VAT returns, payroll and bookkeeping duties
Produce trial balances, monthly management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts
Carry out credit control, prepare payment runs, costings and pricing
Prepare and submit year-end accounts and self-assessment tax returns
Help configure and improve financial processes and procedures
Collaborate on a range of financial operations within the accounts department
Take on additional ad-hoc tasks as needed - no two days are the same!
What We're Looking For:
Level 4 AAT qualified (or ACCA part-qualified/qualified)
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role
Minimum 1 year of payroll experience
Solid grasp of double-entry bookkeeping and financial accounting
Strong working knowledge of Xero, SageCloud, Sage50 Accounts and QuickBooks
Experience in the domiciliary care sector is highly desirable
Key Skills:
Excellent English communication skills - written and spoken
Confident and courteous in client interactions
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook and Word
Highly organised with brilliant attention to detail
Self-motivated, proactive and disciplined with excellent teamwork skills
Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage a dynamic workload
Essential Requirements:
Must be based in Bournemouth/Poole and have the right to work in the UK
Must be willing to work full-time from the Bournemouth office during probation
