HGV Driver

Job Title: HGV Driver (Class 1)
Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk
Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 per annum
Working Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently looking for an experienced HGV Driver (Class 1) for a local manufacturer in Stowmarket, Suffolk. This is a multi-skilled role that's looking for someone to work in as a driver & as a warehouse operative. With driving duties making up approximately 50% of the job, and warehouse duties taking up the other 50%.

We are offering an excellent salary with an overnight allowance on top of your pay! Overtime is paid at increased rates & the company offers further benefits such as

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving: Operate HGV vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to customer locations, ensuring compliance with all road and safety regulations.
• Warehouse: Assist with the loading and unloading of stock, stock rotation, picking, packing etc
• Forklift Operation: (If qualified) Assist with forklift duties for loading and unloading heavy items and materials.
• Stock Management: Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control.
• General support: Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy, safe, and organised
  

Requirements:

• Valid HGV1 driving license with a valid qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• CPC Driving card
• Ability to work well in a fast-moving environment.
• Forklift license (desirable but not essential) - Counterbalance & reach
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physically fit, with the ability to lift and carry items.
• A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
