CNC Programmer

Position: CNC Programmer - Night Shift

Salary: 44,265 - 47,030

Location: Wickford

Hours: 22:00pm - 06:15am

Proactive are currently in search of an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer /Setter / Operator for a world leading Aerospace and Automotive company based in Wickford. They are at the forefront of delivering the parts that matters to their customers. Job Focus:

• Your role as a CNC Programmer will involve Programming, Setting and Operating on CNC Lathe Machines using Siemens/Fanuc controls. you will need to set and run 3 machines at the same time frequently when busy.

Key accountabilities:

• Programming Setting and Operating CNC Lathe Machines using Siemens and/or Fanuc controls
• Working on the machining platforms, producing various components across all the major projects.
• Working to client Technical Instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high quality machining across a variety of different components and product families.
• The interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
• The assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.
• Working within a team to effectively resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to plan.

Skills / Experience:

• CNC machining experience (Programming, Setting and Operating on CNC Lathes)
• Previous experience working with aerospace or automotive components would be preferable.
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
• Pro-active and patient individual capable of managing your time effectively.
