Service Care Solutions are seeking a dedicated and experienced Waste Collection Driver (Cat C1) to join our client s team on a 3-month contract. This role is vital in ensuring the completion of household waste collection services, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.

Waste Collection Driver Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise waste collection crews and manage daily operational functions, including maintaining records (both paper-based and electronic handheld devices)
• Carry out physically and mentally demanding tasks in all weather conditions
• Ensure the safe collection of waste bins along your designated route, safeguarding the wellbeing of employees, colleagues, and members of the public
• Operate mechanical machinery for emptying refuse containers
• Maintain and ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and security of vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Work independently or under the guidance of a line manager to deliver services efficiently and effectively
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including safe working practices and CPC guidelines.

Waste Collection Driver Essential Requirements:

• Valid UK Driving Licence (Category C1)
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Experience in a team leader, foreman, or equivalent supervisory role
• Experience working in a waste management environment
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and provide practical support to colleagues.
