Position Summary:
Fabrication and Welding repairs for Rolling Stock. Working for a leading Rolling Stock Engineering Business with work that includes refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul, and repair services to the UK rail and light rail sector.

THOSE FROM A MARINE ENVIRONMENT ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY

Candidates will have / be:
Previous experience with coding process - 135 MAG semi-automatic welding to BS EN 287 standards and MIG welding
Experience with Aluminium, stainless steel and steel welding on a variety of materials from 2mm to 25mm, including corrosion work.
Experience in the use of hand tools, buffing and grinding panels in preparation for welding
Experience in positional welding - Vertical Up / Over Head etc.
Experience in visual Welding inspection
Ideally come from an engineering / commercial environment with experience on rail vehicles
Time served with the relevant qualifications from accredited bodies.
