The School and Role

A secondary school based in Bournemouth are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to start with them as soon as possible. The school caters for secondary aged pupils in a mainstream setting with challenging behaviour who also require additional support with their studies.

The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will be required to work 1-1 or in small classes, assisting pupils academically as well as overcoming barriers to learning and supporting them emotionally.

The desired candidate will have:

• Experience of working with children in an educational setting
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH/challenging behaviour
• A passion for the progress of pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
