Senior PCB Design Engineer

Location: Saffron Walden (CB10) Duration: Permanent Hours: 9am until 5:30pm (Monday to Friday) Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 Job Reference: 35535 Polytec are looking for a Senior PCB Design Engineer to join our Saffron Walden based client. This is a really exciting opportunity and the successful candidate will have a chance to work on a number of cutting edge projects across a broad range of industries. Responsibilities: * Generating and understanding Schematic Design and its requirements * Management of PCB CAD System, including creation/modification of component symbols and PCB footprints * Producing full set's of documentation for fabrication and assembly of PCB designs * Ensure deliverables are to the agreed timescale, specification and quality in accordance with company's ISO9001 quality procedures * Perform both internal and external customer design reviews * Maintain high professional standards and provide a strong view of PCB Design Requirements: * HNC/HND or degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, supported by relevant industry experience and a specialisation in PCB design * A minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics hardware design and product development * Highly proficient in the PCB design of RF, digital, analogue and power PCB's * Working Knowledge of surface mount technology, design for assembly (DFA) and design for manufacture (DFM) techniques * Experience using Altium for Schematic capture and PCB layout is essential while familiarity with Siemens PADS software for legacy designs would be an advantage * Experience in power supply, analog, digital and mixed signal circuit design * Good working knowledge of IPC standards for high reliability products and EMI/EMC requirements for best design practice * Expertise in HDI Technologies Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below
