About the Role

Are you an aspiring accountant looking to grow your career? We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team of a leading manufacturing business based in West London

Reporting to the Head of Finance

, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, Accounting & IT . This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development .

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Processing: Record payments, receipts, and daily transactions in SAP ERP (FICO module)
  • Ledger Maintenance: Keep bank ledgers up to date and perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process AP invoices (purchases & OPEX) and manage cash collection activities
  • Master Data Management: Maintain accurate records for products, vendors, and customers
  • Month-End & Reporting: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings and prepare balance sheet & P&L variance analysis
  • Revenue & Intercompany Reconciliation: Ensure accurate revenue recognition and reconcile intercompany balances
  • Cash & Credit Management: Monitor weekly cash positions , prepare payment runs , and manage credit control & outstanding balances

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support projects led by the GL Accountant
  • Participate in finance team meetings and collaborate across departments
  • Provide prompt and professional responses to accounting queries

What We're Looking For

  • Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
  • 3-5 years of accounting & finance experience
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP (FICO module) and advanced Excel skills
  • Highly organised , detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills , thriving in a multicultural team
  • Adaptable with a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities
