Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Long-term placement)

SANZA Teaching Agency is working closely with a thriving two-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Islington to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Early Years Teaching Assistant . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school , where the well-being and development of all pupils are at the heart of their approach.

• Supporting children with SEND within the EYFS setting , focusing on Reception and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) .
• Providing tailored support to help children engage with learning, develop social skills, and build independence .
• Assisting with learning activities, play-based interventions, and structured routines to support children's progress
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to ensure each child receives the support they need.
• Personal care duties may be required, including nappy changing and supporting children with toileting and self-care.

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND , ideally in an early years or reception setting .
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to working with young children with additional needs.
• Ability to differentiate activities and provide one-to-one or small group interventions to meet individual learning needs.
• Experience or willingness to assist with personal care and nappy changing when required.
• Strong understanding of child development, EYFS curriculum, and early years best practices .
• A team player who can work effectively alongside teachers, parents, and external professionals to support children's learning and well-being.
