A prominent and growing national construction consultancy with multiple offices across the UK is looking for a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper with proficiency in Xero for its office near London Bridge. You must be experienced with Xero to be considered for this role.

The position is initially office-based. This may become more flexible over time.

The Bookkeeper s role

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in supporting the senior management team and all UK offices. Working alongside an Administrator in a sociable office, you will work independently and autonomously most of the time. Your responsibilities will include:

• General Accounting
• Credit control proactively chasing outstanding payment
• Monthly management accounting / P&L
• Expenses
• Banking functions
• Insurances

The Bookkeeper

• Previous Xero experience is essential to this role
• You need to be confident and competent to work independently, without close supervision.
• Strong communication skills
• Previous experience within a professional services environment is preferred
• Accountancy qualifications are highly desirable
• Construction industry experience is not required as long as you have strong Xero and over 5 years of Bookkeeping / Finance experience.

Salary & Benefits

• GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 depending on experience
