About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our client in supporting children in care. This role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and personal development of children and young people, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children in care, providing individualized support and intervention.

Develop, review, and implement care plans that prioritize the best interests of the child.

Work closely with foster carers, families, and professionals to create a stable and supportive setting.

Conduct regular home visits and assessments to ensure children s safety and well-being.

Act as an advocate for children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.

Prepare reports and attend court proceedings when necessary.

Support children through key transitions, including changes in placement, education, and preparing for independence.

Maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and policy frameworks.
Requirements:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).

Registration with HCPC and SWE
-
Experience working with children in care, looked-after children, or related fields.

Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and applicable legislation.

Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency teams.

A valid driver s license and access to a vehicle may be required.
