The Job You’ll Do; * Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of mobile plant equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards. * This role requires proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance tasks on a range of machinery used in construction, agriculture, or industrial settings. * Troubleshoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary. * Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems accurately. * Analyse symptoms reported by operators and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues. * Conducting maintenance and repairs at customer sites. * Identify and replace faulty parts and components, ensuring compatibility and adherence to manufacturer specifications. * Carry out routine servicing to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment. * Ensure that service reports, time sheets etc. are completed correctly and submitted on time. * Generate digital reports outlining equipment condition, repair history, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades. * Reporting any warranty issues promptly. * Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines. * Liaising with Service Controller’s and Product Support Managers throughout the day to provide updates on repair progress and equipment status. * Engage with customers to understand their maintenance requirements, concerns, and priorities. * Keep customers informed about the status of maintenance activities and any unexpected delays or issues. * Ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard and on time. * Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and safety on-site work areas * Maintaining safety, cleanliness and general housekeeping of company vehicle. * The Company is committed to achieving a high standard of Health and Safety in all its activities and the postholder will be expected to contribute to maintaining standards to ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation. * Take responsibility for managing own performance and to participate in any identified training or development opportunities. About You; * Full UK Driving Licence. * Experienced, time served Mobile Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical). * Excellent diagnostic and reporting skills and show good attention to detail. * Experienced in troubleshooting modern hydraulic systems and engines. * Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues that may arise. * Excellent IT skills required with a good ability to analyse fault code data. * IPAF card holder (desirable)
