Practice Nurse

Job Title: Practice Nurse Location: Worthing, West Sussex Reports to: Practice Manager / Lead Nurse Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Practice Nurse will work closely with our General Practitioners (GPs) and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients in a community setting. The role involves carrying out clinical duties such as administering vaccinations, assisting with chronic disease management, and providing health education. Key Responsibilities: * Clinical Care: * Perform routine health checks, blood pressure monitoring, and basic medical assessments. * Administer vaccinations (e.g., flu, childhood immunizations). * Assist in the management of long-term conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension. * Provide wound care, dressing changes, and removal of sutures. * Take blood samples and perform basic laboratory tests. * Assist in minor surgical procedures as required. Qualifications and Skills: * Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) pin. * Experience working in a general practice or primary care setting is preferred. * Knowledge of current nursing practices and relevant clinical guidelines. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage patient care efficiently and demonstrate empathy. * Basic life support (BLS) certification and knowledge of infection control procedures. * Organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
