Nursery Practitioner (Chelmsford based)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic nursery in the Chelmsford area, dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children. We are currently seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their passionate team and help shape young lives through learning, care, and play.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be supporting children across all age groups from babies to toddlers and preschoolers helping them reach key developmental milestones in a safe and fun setting. You'll be involved in everything from planning engaging activities to providing emotional and physical care.

• Support children s learning and development through structured and free play activities

• Provide high-quality care and ensure a safe, nurturing environment

• Maintain accurate records of children s progress and development

• Work in partnership with parents and carers, offering regular feedback and updates

• Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure all children s needs are met

• Support the emotional, social, and physical development of all children

• Be a positive, enthusiastic, and flexible team player

• A relevant childcare qualification minimum Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent)

• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting

• A sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

• A nurturing, patient, and caring nature

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

This role is available for an immediate start . If you are currently working and have a notice period , interviews can be arranged in advance, and the nursery is happy to wait for the right candidate.
