Civil/Senior Engineer (Highways/Drainage) - Chelmsford (Permanent)
Are you an experienced Highways and Drainage Engineer looking for your next challenge? We're working with a well-established infrastructure consultancy seeking a Civil or Senior Engineer to join their growing team in Chelmsford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, energy, education, and healthcare sectors . The role offers exposure to key stakeholders, career development opportunities, and the chance to take on leadership responsibilities within the team.

• 
  Produce high-quality technical drawings and designs in line with industry standards.
• 
  Lead design decisions and present reasoned solutions to senior management and external stakeholders.
• 
  Provide technical leadership in key areas of highways and drainage design.
• 
  Manage project resources and adapt plans to meet client deadlines.
• 
  Check and approve drawings and calculations prepared by colleagues.
• 
  Stay up to date with changes in legislation, design codes, and best practices.

• 
  Experience in the design of roads and drainage across multiple sectors.
• 
  Strong understanding of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategy Reports, and Operation & Maintenance Manuals .
• 
  Confident in leading projects and challenging design solutions when necessary.
• 
  Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• 
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• 
  Full UK driving licence required.

• 
  Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 (DOE)
