Are you a dedicated professional with great leadership skills who has a passion for their work?

We have an opportunity for an experienced senior flood risk engineer to join this multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting in their Birmingham office. As a senior flood risk engineer you will provide leadership in the delivery of high quality schemes on time and within budget.

Projects are within the public and private sectors and include residential, commercial, leisure, retail, education and healthcare.

Our client has a healthy orderbook resulting in the need to grow the team to support the expanding workload.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the flood risk team
• Site investigations, hydrological analysis and calculations
• Project management and technical reports
• Environmental impact assessment, expert evidence, inquiries & hearings
• Liaise with clients at fee proposal and invoicing stages
• Ensure collaborative working with all disciplines

About you:

• Degree in engineering
• Demonstrable experience of project and team leadership
• Professional member of ICE, CIWEM or similar
• Detailed knowledge of drainage design standards and experience in writing FRAs, development of drainage strategies, river/flood modelling
• Proficient in relevant software such as Flow Causeway/MicroDrainage and working knowledge of flood modelling software
• Experience at senior level of flood modelling
