Automation Test Lead

Our client is a SaaS company within the Travel sector. They recently won a large contract and are looking to grow the tech team with 3 new roles, including a Test Lead. They have offices in Chorley and Daresbury and this role is hybrid with 2 days a week in the office. This is a brand new role and you will be the first dedicated tester working alongside the development team.

Description

• Take a lead of the testing suite
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using common testing frameworks and tools - Selenium, SpecFlow, Cypress, Playwright etc
• Implement and maintain automated test suites for functional testing, regression testing, and performance testing
• Write and set up automation scripts from scratch
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and release management activities to ensure high-quality software releases
• Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in software testing and automation
• Assist with releases to live

Profile

Must haves:

• Set up automation scripts from scratch yourself
• Worked as a sole tester / in a small team
• Experience with automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress etc)

Nice to haves:

• Cloud experience
