SEN Teaching Assistant

Two SEN Teaching Assistants are needed for an SEMH School in Billingham. These two full time roles are to start ASAP and will be ongoing, potentially long term. The successful Teaching Assistant candidate would ideally have experience of working in Alternative Education with pupils who have SEMH and behavioural needs.

This lovely school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant candidate would:

• Have a passion supporting the teaching of children with a variety of SEMH and behavioural needs
• Have excellent subject knowledge
• Be able to organise themselves
• Be able to engage with children in a proactive way
• have experience of working with pupils in KS3 and 4
• Have experience of working in an Alternative Education setting

In addition, you must:

• Provide two referees we can contact

• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one

Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on the level of Teaching Assistant qualification you have achieved and the amount of experience you have to date.
