Electrical Design Engineer

We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established company in Gloucester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in designing and coordinating electrical systems for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed electrical designs and calculations.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into the overall project design.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and environmental considerations.
• Conduct site inspections and liaise with the construction team to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design solutions effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

• HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (minimum requirement).
• BS7671:2018 (advantageous but not essential).
• City & Guilds 2396 (advantageous but not essential).
• IET Membership (advantageous but not essential).
• Experience designing electrical systems for a range of building types.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good practical knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
• Revit experience (advantageous but not essential).
• Familiarity with design calculation software such as Trimble Pro Design, Relux, or Dialux.
