Description:
Oldham Council is looking for passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our
Assessment & Intervention (A&I) Team

Responsibilities:

Undertake
statutory assessments
for children and families, identifying risks and developing support plans.

Provide
timely interventions
to protect children from harm and improve their well-being.

Work in partnership with families, professionals, and partner agencies to
deliver targeted support
.

Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring high-quality social work practice in line with legislation.

Prepare and present reports for
court proceedings, case conferences, and multi-agency meetings
.

Advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Requirements:

Qualifications:
Degree in Social Work and registration with
Social Work England
.

Experience:
Experience in
safeguarding, child protection, or assessment and intervention
preferred.

Skills:
Strong assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills.

Knowledge:
Understanding of relevant
legislation, policies, and procedures
relating to children's social care.

Other Requirements:
Ability to travel across Oldham.
