Technical marketing specialist

A leading speciality chemicals distributor with a fabulous reputation in the industry are currently partnered with Woodstock Recruitment to assist in the search for a Technical Marketing Specialist. This will be a unique blend of a life science graduate with either formal marketing training or indeed just a knack for digital and social media marketing and events management. Cosmetic science, biology and chemistry graduates with additional creative skills are encouraged to apply! Key responsibilities: * Digital Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy for the Life Science sector in collaboration with the R&D and Marketing Manager. * Event Organisation: Oversee the company’s presence at physical events like exhibitions and customer events. * Lead & KPI Monitoring: Monitor and respond to digital marketing leads while tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). * Social Media Marketing: Manage campaigns and content on platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram. * Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and deliver relevant and regular updates to the team. * Content Creation: Develop marketing materials such as brochures and social media posts * Internal & External Communication: Update both internal teams and external stakeholders on company marketing activities. * Sales Support: Aid sales managers by using “soft” selling techniques and assist in driving sales. * Relationship Management: Help the product managers in maintaining strong relationships with key principals in the business units. * Business Units: Personal Care, Home Care, Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, Waxes, etc. * Holiday/Absence Cover: Cover other department members during holidays or absences. Skills, experience and qualifications: * BSc in a life science and knowledge or interest in marketing * OR * BA in Marketing and knowledge or interest in life sciences * Full UK driving licence - essential * Digital marketing experience - higjly desirable * Experience in the life sciences - highly desirable * Good knowledge of IT software packages
