The Role: LDAP Engineer

Location: Sheffield, UK - Hybrid

Role type: Inside IR35 Contract

Job Description:

Essential Technical skills:

  • Expert on mission critical Identify Management infrastructure components such as ForgeRock Suite (DS, AM, IDM) and Web/mobile authentication and authorization disciplines on a global scale. Fluent on multi-master topologies, replication and configuration management of Directory and Identity Management Technologies.
  • Deep technical expertise on LDAP(S), HTTP (S), SSL_TLS, Kerberos, SAML, JWT protocols and technologies.
  • Deep technical expertise on Linux and Unix.
  • Experience of Pipeline delivery
  • Scripting Knowledge
  • Experience providing production support, troubleshooting LDAP issues and providing solutions and engaging vendors.
  • Experience on Product life cycle management - patching, technology currency.
  • Working knowledge of multiple Middleware disciplines (Web Servers, Application Servers, Messaging and Application Lifecycle Management)
  • Testing Skills of benefit
  • Kubernetes Skills
  • Working knowledge of Load Balancers and Proxy services and technologies.
  • Understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS,GCP) and Containers is desirable.

Overall Expectations:

  • Engineer global scale Application Identity Management solutions supporting tens of millions users and entries and across business units and geographies.
  • Tooling and automation
  • Provide technical guidance, Level 2 and 3 support. Drive deployment consistency by providing automation and configuration management services to the products.
  • Produce documentation to allow other engineers to use the solution and enhance it as necessary.
