Operations Manager

CareerMakers Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager on behalf of our client based in Altham, BB5. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset and oversee the overall manufacturing process within the company. Responsibilities * Oversee the planning and organisation of the production/manufacturing processes. * Complete regular stock checks to ensure the correct equipment and materials are available for projects. * Conduct regular inspections to ensure production machinery are operational and efficient. * Prepare cost estimates and budget required for a manufacturing proposal. * Ensure production complies with established quality control specifications and standards. * Monitor and supervise the activities of the production team to ensure effective performance of job duties. * Assign work schedules and tasks to technical employees. * Ensure the manufacturing and production team comply with set health and safety policies when carrying out job duties. * Analyse and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or issues. * Oversee the purchases of raw materials and equipment required for manufacturing. * Complete regular quality assessments to ensure product quality and specification are consistent. * Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues. * Develop and implement strategies to optimise production efficiency, reduce costs and improve product quality * Travelling to other sites will be involved (driving licence necesary) Skills * Proven experience in operations management. * Strong leadership abilities. * Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. * Proficient in project management methodologies and tools. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. * Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis is advantageous.
