Position: Commercial Vehicle Body Builder
Location: Sheffield (Ideal for candidates based in Sheffield, Chesterfield or Rotherham)
Type: Temporary (with potential to become permanent after 12 weeks)

We are working leading provider of commercial vehicle solutions, who are seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Body Builder to join their dynamic team. This role will be based on-site, with the opportunity for a permanent position after 12 weeks.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with MIG welding , and proficiency in using all related welding equipment.
• A background in vehicle body building is essential.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings .
• A UK Driver's License is required, and an HGV license is a bonus.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Vehicle Body Builder , you will:

• Manufacture and assemble bespoke bodywork including tippers, plant vehicles
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide your work.
• Perform MIG welding and assemble vehicle body components.
• Utilise a variety of welding tools, hand tools, and power tools to complete tasks.
• Contribute to sub-assembly work , as well as refurbishments and new vehicle builds.

Benefits

• Hourly Rate : 13.50 to 16.00 per hour (DOE)
• Working Hours : Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (3:00 PM finish on Fridays)
• Overtime : Time and a half after 39 hours, Saturday morning overtime available

Experience required:

• MIG welding experience is a must.
• Prior experience in vehicle body building is essential.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions accurately.
• A strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Own transport is ideal.
