Major Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Major Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care and anatomy knowledge, ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires a compassionate individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals. Duties * Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. * Assist in the preparation of the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available. * Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition. * Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. * Maintain accurate patient records and documentation throughout the surgical process. * Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery. * Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment. Experience * A valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is essential. * Previous experience in an operating room setting is highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures is required. * Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient care with empathy and professionalism. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration within the healthcare team.
