We are seeking a Deputy Ward Manager / Night Service Coordinator to provide senior nursing leadership within a specialist mental health hospital. This role is ideal for an experienced mental health nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care, leading a team, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Key Responsibilities: βœ… Provide leadership and support to the night staff team. βœ… Ensure clinical excellence and patient safety through effective governance. βœ… Manage risk assessments and ensure compliance with statutory regulations. βœ… Supervise and develop junior staff and student nurses, providing clinical supervision and mentorship. βœ… Contribute to care planning and therapeutic interventions for patients with mental health or learning disability needs. βœ… Lead audits and hospital walk-rounds, ensuring high standards of care. βœ… Actively support multi-disciplinary teamwork, fostering a collaborative approach. βœ… Identify and address staffing needs to maintain a strong skill mix. What We’re Looking For: βœ” Qualified RMN or RNLD with 18 months - 2 years post-registration experience. βœ” Active NMC registration with a commitment to Revalidation. βœ” Experience as a Clinical Supervisor or Assessor (training desirable). βœ” Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team. βœ” Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different situations. βœ” Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
