We are seeking a Deputy Ward Manager / Night Service Coordinator to provide senior nursing leadership within a specialist mental health hospital. This role is ideal for an experienced mental health nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care, leading a team, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Key Responsibilities: β Provide leadership and support to the night staff team. β Ensure clinical excellence and patient safety through effective governance. β Manage risk assessments and ensure compliance with statutory regulations. β Supervise and develop junior staff and student nurses, providing clinical supervision and mentorship. β Contribute to care planning and therapeutic interventions for patients with mental health or learning disability needs. β Lead audits and hospital walk-rounds, ensuring high standards of care. β Actively support multi-disciplinary teamwork, fostering a collaborative approach. β Identify and address staffing needs to maintain a strong skill mix. What Weβre Looking For: β Qualified RMN or RNLD with 18 months - 2 years post-registration experience. β Active NMC registration with a commitment to Revalidation. β Experience as a Clinical Supervisor or Assessor (training desirable). β Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team. β Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different situations. β Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
