Hours: Part Time and Full Time

Location: Darlington

Pay Rate: 110 to 120 per day

Are you a driven Higher Level Teaching Assistant?

Empowering Learning is working with a SEN school in Darlington who are looking for a HLTA for a long-term role. The role will involve working 2:1 with a hard-to-reach student to engage and develop their education.

You must have the Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification and experience to be considered for this role.

The ideal candidate will have

The ability to be self-motivated and driven to support the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Must have HLTA status qualification and experience of working as a HLTA in the classroom.
To be creative and knowledgeable of different strategies to use in the classroom and 1:1, as well as strong behaviour management skills.
Organisation and experience of creating resources to use in the classroom or 1:1.
Excellent Maths, English and ICT skills.
Experience of working with pupils in intervention groups

• Experience of working with pupils with moderate learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder and behavioural and emotional difficulties.
