Management Accountant

Location: East Midlands, Leicestershire, Leicester

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 per annum

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting within the accounting department of a construction company. Your primary focus will be on managing and interpreting financial data to support strategic decision-making and improve business performance.

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Conducting variance analysis and providing insights to senior management
• Assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitoring and analysing financial performance against key performance indicators
• Supporting financial audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Contributing to the development of financial policies and procedures

• A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or nearing completition
• Proven experience in a similar management accounting or Assistant Management Accountant role
• Strong understanding of financial principles and practises

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
