Labview Engineer

Senior Test Development Engineer Location - Glenrothes or Livingston, Scotland. 4 days pw on site Copello are working with a leader in defence and aerospace technology who are looking for a Senior Test Development Engineer who will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification and validation, along with through life technical support of board level, sub-system and system level test equipment. Main duties: * Design of functional test equipment * To take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the test equipment and provide leadership and guidance for junior engineers. * Documentation of design specifications and implementation details. Take part in design reviews. Upholding of design standards and methodologies. * Realisation of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable test hardware solutions. * Responsibility for the complete implementation of detailed technical items and an understanding/appreciation of system level items. * Development of appropriate test hardware, test software and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware. * Provide support to manufacturing answering product queries & resolving technical issues. * Provide support for the test hardware and manage obsolescence throughout its lifecycle. * Monitoring and reporting of progress of test development to immediate supervisor and development team. * Proactively support company compliance to Health and Safety legislation through adherence to company polices, processes and practices. * Ensure that all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies and ethics codes of conduct. * Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management * Application of IPDS Processes Knowledge & Experience: Essential: * Labview/ Teststand/ CVI experience * Experirence in developing test equipment * Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design. * Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation. * Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production. * Must be eligible for MOD Security Clearance to a minimum of SC level If you feel you have the right skills and experience please apply and we will be in touch with a further conversation
