Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Multiple UK Locations | Main Contractor Due to rapid growth and exciting new contract wins, a leading Main Contractor is looking for experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their expanding team. We have opportunities available in Iver, Reading, Shinfield, and other key locations across the UK. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing the cost and contractual aspects of complex projects. This is a key leadership role requiring extensive experience in quantity surveying, strong project management skills, and the ability to drive successful outcomes from project inception to completion. Your expertise will be crucial in maximizing profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: * Lead cost management, including accurate budgeting, cost monitoring, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. * Administer and negotiate construction contracts, including variations, claims, and disputes. * Provide strategic advice on cost planning and procurement to ensure optimal project outcomes. * Manage tendering processes, evaluating bids, and selecting suppliers/subcontractors. * Develop and implement cost control measures to keep projects within budget. * Analyse project performance and recommend corrective actions as necessary. * Mentor junior quantity surveyors and foster a collaborative, supportive environment. * Manage risks effectively, minimizing cost overruns, delays, and disputes. Skills & Experience: * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. * Chartered status (RICS/CICES) essential. * Extensive experience in managing complex construction projects. * Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. * Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office. * Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
