Packaging Designer

Cloud 9 is seeking a talented Packaging Designer to join their dynamic Design Team in the Southwest. See below for more details: The Role Primarily a structural design role, this position allows you to harness your skills in both 2D and 3D design, transforming client briefs into successful production-ready solutions. The role is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy the challenge of taking projects from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with colleagues, customers and suppliers to develop customer approved solutions meeting their needs and requirements. * Manage enquiries and samples competently ensuring timely delivery, from initial concept through to completion. * Maintain clear communication between sales and operational teams. * Ensure all information provided to the factory aligns with customer requirements. * Produce accurate CAD designs and drawings for packaging solutions. * Create samples for customer to assess and approve. * Operate the selected design system and business software effectively. * Generate conceptual artwork, 3D visuals, and mock-up samples. Skills and Experience * At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Packaging Industry. * Design Engineering experience (a graduate designer will be considered). * Experience working in a fast-paced environment. * Graphic design experience would be beneficial. * Ideally proficient in CAD; Artios or Kasemake, Adobe Suite, Excel etc. * Good knowledge of factory manufacturing processes and abilities. * Proven record of delivering results consistently and taking responsibility. * Ability to manage multiple projects. * Strong project management skills. * Excellent communication skills. * Team player. * Self-motivated with a can-do attitude. * Excellent product knowledge and an understanding of processes from concept through to production. * A confidence and ability to challenge new and existing designs. * Excellent time management and organisational skills. * Flexible.
